Fallen Tree Closes Lanes on Cedar Boulevard

Motorists are bumping into traffic caused by a tree that has fallen onto a major roadway in town, according to passers-by.

The large tree is blocking Cedar Boulevard near Musick Avenue, according to Newark Unified School Board member Gary Stadler, who was in the area. Another passer-by said two northbound lanes on Cedar Boulevard are closed.

Police appear to be on scene to direct traffic.

Newark police were not immediately available to comment at the time this report was published.
