• Where/When: , 6800 Mowry Ave., Newark; Friday starting at 4:45 p.m.
• Why Go: Get ready to dance – Nintendo style. The City of Newark’s Recreation Department will be hosting a Wii Just Dance Contest Friday evening and it’s free if you’ve paid admission to the Teen Area.
• Pricing: Free

• Where/When: , 34009 Alvarado Niles Rd., Union City; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Why Go: Help clean up the creek by joining other volunteers for this Earth Day activity. People of all ages are encouraged to attend to help clean up wildlife habitats along the creek.
• Pricing: Free

• Where/When: 6 Kilkare Rd., Sunol; Saturday at 10:30 a.m., 12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
• Why Go: Ride along the Niles Canyone Railroad and donate toward the American Cancer Society at the same time. Refreshments and snacks will be available for purchase and the 12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. will have free wine tastings.
• Pricing: $25 for adults, $15 for children under 12 years of old and free for children under the age of 2

• Where/When: , 33997 Alvarado Niles Rd., Union City; Saturday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.  
• Why Go: Enjoy some shrimp, pasta salad, garlic bread then dance it off to raise funds for the Senior Center and Union City Sister City Santa Rosalia’s town project. A donation from the proceeds will also be given to the Centro de Servicios. Dinner will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  But doors will open at 4 p.m. for more details.

• Where/When: 46100 Landing Pkwy, Fremont; Sunday at 1 p.m.
• Why Go: Head on over to Kidango’s 17th Annual Taster’s Showcase to check out 20 local food and beverage providers.The Fremont Niles District’s silent film history will also be honored at the showcase that will be held at the Marriot Fremont.
