In Photos: Pizzeria Celebrates Changes
Owners of Shakers Pizza celebrates taking over the business on Newark Boulevard. They're also asking the community to come up with a new name for the restaurant.
Tom and Kelly Thomas have owned Old Town Shakers Pizzeria since late last year.
During a ribbon cutting ceremony on Oct. 19, Newark residents had a chance to try the new pizzas they hope to add to their menu and learned about how the owners are searching for a new name.
To build their identity separate from a Shakers Pizza restaurant in Fremont, the Thomases are asking Newark residents for suggestions for a new name. Email ideas to oldtownshakers@yahoo.com.

The New Name Contest will run through Nov. 4, then the staff will pick its top four and ask you to vote for your favorite pick on Newark Patch on Nov. 8.
