Kanes' Martial Arts Rated As Best Martial Arts Studio

Newark residents rave about courses offered at Kane's Martial Arts studio.

And its the martial arts studio’s focus on courses designed for people of all ages that has earned it high ratings and the title of Newark Patch’s Readers’ Choice 2012: Best Martial Arts Studio Award.

Located at 37420 Cedar Blvd., Kanes' Martial Arts – or KMA as it is called by its students – is headed by brothers Shaun and Jay Kane.

KMA won by gaining 44 percent of the votes and getting three five-star ratings and raving reviews.

One Patch reader who goes by EV wrote that KMA is welcoming but also challenges its students "in the best sense."

"I've studied there long enough to say that children who trained there have matured into responsible, observant, and kind young adults. If you stick with it, you'll impress yourself and gain a second family," EV said.
