Kick It with San Jose Earthquakes Players

Xfinity Soccer Clinic Series comes to Newark on Thursday.

Soccer players ages 8-12 are invited to play alongside players of the San Jose Earthquakes Thursday evening.

The opportunity is part of the Xfinity Soccer Clinic Series in which youth are given the chance to learn the fundamentals of soccer from top coaches and interact with players from the San Jose Earthquakes Major League Soccer team.

Five soccer clinics make up the series. On Thursday, the series comes to the in Newark from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The clinic is free. Each participant will get to interact with five players from the team and will receive a ball and match tickets to a home game.

To register, sign up by clicking here. Space is limited to 100 children between 8 and 12 years old. Parents must sign their children up before the event and accompany them to check-in.

Pre-registration check-in begins at 5:15 p.m.

The series began on June 1 in San Jose with 125 youth. The series will continue on June 30 at Fair Oaks Elementary in Redwood City and on July 27 at Shorty Garcia Park in Union City.
