Mayor's State of City Address Scheduled for April 19

Reservations to the annual event must be submitted by April 16.

For the first time in decades, Newark’s 2012 State of City Address will be given by a new city leader.

Mayor Al Nagy will deliver his first State of the City Address next Thursday, April 19 and everyone is invited to attend the event hosted by the Newark Chamber of Commerce that will be held at the .

The event will begin at 11 a.m. and lunch will be available to those who pay for the luncheon that will begin at 12 p.m. The cost is $35 for chamber members and $45 for non-chamber members.

Nagy will deliver his speech at 12:30 p.m. and those who do not wish to participate in the lunch but would like to watch the State of City Address will be invited in 10 minutes before the speech is to begin for free.
