Meth Lab Found on Bonnie Street

Authorities said they seized 13 pounds of meth.

Newark police confirmed Wednesday that a methamphetamine lab was found inside an add-on to a home on Bonnie Street, according to officials with the .

Authories responded to a home on the 36600 block of Bonnie Street around 3 p.m. afternoon to serve a search warrant, at which time Alameda County Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force detectives found the meth lab and seized about 13 pounds of meth, police said.

Newark police added that near the home while the Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms Team took apart the lab.

Newark officials did not say whether any arrests were made. Calls to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office have not been returned.
