Missing Elderly Woman Found Overnight

Authorities have located an elderly Newark woman was reported missing, according to Newark police.

Newark police issued the missing person alert at 1 a.m. Friday. One hour later, authorities released another alert stating that officers had located the 82-year-old woman, police said.

Three officers with the Fremont Police Department who used Forward Looking Infer-Red Devices assisted Newark police with finding the woman, and she was found near her home, according to Fremont police.
