Mobile Company Releases Apple Certified Barcode Scanner
Socket Mobile announces the availability of a new scanner compatible with Apple products.

A Newark-based mobile product company announced Monday the introduction of an Apple iOS Certified Barcode Scanner.
The scanner, known as the Socket Bluetooth ® Cordless Hand Scanner™ (CHS) Series 7, is an Apple accessory "Made for iPad, iPhone, iPod," according to a press release issued by Socket Mobile, Inc.

Socket Mobile produces portable computing and data collection hardware for companies worldwide, according to the company’s website. The company’s headquarters are located on Eureka Drive.
The scanner allows "developers to add commercial-grade rapid and robust barcode scanning cababilities to their iOS devices," according to the press release.

While the scanner is only currently available to order through Socket-authorized distributors, it will be available for purchase online in the near future, the press release states.
