Music of LOV Launches Sunday Concerts Next Month
Tri-Cities League of Volunteers and the Newark Arts Council host the 23rd season of Sunday concerts.

The Tri-Cities League of Volunteers and the Newark Arts Council will present violinist/composer Tom Rigney next month, along with some of the finest musicians in the Bay Area.
Spend an afternoon tapping your feet to fiery Cajun, zydeco two-steps, low-down blues, funky New Orleans grooves and beautiful ballads and waltzes when Rigney joins forces with his band, Flambeau, on Oct. 2, starting at 2 p.m.

If you feel like dancing, there will be room for you. Rigney's bandmates — Danny Caron,electric guitar; Caroline Dahl, piano; Brent Rampone, drums; and Steve Parks, electric bass — are veterans of the great bands of Charles Brown, Queen Ida, Roy Rogers, Clifton Chenier and others.
Together they generate enough heat and energy to ignite a dance floor or lift the audience to their feet. You won’t want to miss this afternoon of great roots music.
Doors open at 1 p.m. and the concert will begin at 2 p.m. at the , 35753 Cedar Blvd. Complimentary refreshments will be served during intermission.
