NCS Boys' Wrestling Tournament to Impact Traffic Friday, Saturday

Traffic to and from Newark Memorial High School might be heavier than usual on Friday and Saturday.

Newark Memorial will host the 2013 North Coast Section/Les Schwab Tires Boys’ Wrestling Championship Tournament on Friday and Saturday, according to school officials.

 School will be in session on Friday, and spectators are only permitted to park in the Macy’s parking lot at NewPark Mall that day, according to event fliers. More parking will be available in the school’s main parking area on Saturday. View the PDF in our media gallery above for a parking map.

The tournament will begin at 7 a.m. Friday with weigh-ins. Final registration will be held prior to that between 6 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. Friday’s wrestling matches are scheduled through 9 p.m.

Matches will resume 9 a.m. Saturday and are scheduled through 8:30 p.m. that day.
