Need to Know: Trick-Or-Treats At The Mall, Teen Mixer At The Library
This week, bring the kids to NewPark Mall for Halloween fun, attend a school board meeting or have your teen attend a mixer.

Here are five things you need to know in and around Newark this week.
1. Tons of treats will be offered to children under the age of 12 at NewPark Mall’s this Halloween. Kids will have a chance to trick-or-treat through the mall and make their own spooktacular crafts. 2. We’re almost a week away from Election Day and it’s time to make sure you get your ballots. Tuesday is the last day voters can request a mail-in ballot for the Nov. 8 Election. Learn more about elections by clicking here.
3. The Newark Unified School Board of Education will meet on Tuesday in a regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the , 5715 Musick Ave. Among the items on the agenda are reviews of regulations for numerous policies, including the district’s comprehensive Local Plan for Special Education, regulations pertaining to animals on campus, and more.

4. An will be held for veterans and military personnel for free this Friday. The eight-hour program will begin at 8:15 a.m. at 41386 Fremont Blvd. in Fremont.
5. Newark Library’s Teen Advisory Group is inviting other teens to join them in a in which pizza, treats and music will be only part of the fun. Meet your peers and learn more about the teen advisory group at the mixer, which will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Newark Library.
