Newark Library Recruiting Youth Volunteers

Volunteers needed for two programs.

Newark Library is looking for more volunteers for its youth programs, according to the Newark Libary blog.

KidPower volunteers are needed and youth in grades 7 and up are encouraged to apply. Orientation is May 28 at 2 p.m. For those under the age of 18, a parent or guardian signature is necessary. Teenagers between the ages of 13 and 18 can apply to volunteer for the library's reading programs. The library staff is looking for volunteers who are responsible, reliable and committed. Orientation will be held 4-5 p.m. on June 8. For more information, contact Kathleen Hannon, Young Adult library assistant at (510) 795-2627 ext. 18 or khanon@aclibrary.org.
