Newark Teens Arrested in Milpitas Attempted Burglary
The two 16-year-olds allegedly tried to break into a house on Washington Drive in Milpitas.

Two 16-year-olds from Newark were arrested for allegedly attempting to burglarize a home in Milpitas last week.
According to Milpitas police, officers responded to the 100 block of Washington Boulevardand in Milpitas at around 12:08 p.m. on March 15 where they arrested two teenagers, one male and one female.
The female suspect reportedly knocked on the resident's front door and when no one answered, the male suspect attempted to open a side gate leading to the backyard, police said.

The victim yelled and the suspects fled.
Milpitas Police located the suspects and arrested them. Both were booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall for conspiracy to commit a crime, prowling and providing false identification to a police officer. The male suspect was also charged with probation violation.
