Nine Individuals Seeking Seat on Planning Commission
Mayor Al Nagy will make an appointment at a future City Council meeting.

Nine individuals have applied for a vacant seat on the city's planning commission, according to City Clerk Sheila Harrington.
Harrington said Mayor Al Nagy is in the process of reviewing the applications and will appoint someone to the seat at a future City Council meeting.

The seat became vacant with the appointment of in late January.
Planning commissioners are required to attend meetings twice a month, on the Tuesdays of the same week of City Council meetings. The council meets every second and fourth Thursday of each month.

The commission’s duties include reviewing and taking actions on applications related to planning. Through analysis and votes, the commission makes recommendations to the council on land use issues.
