Ohlone Hosts Citizen of the Year Luncheon
Ohlone College Foundation will honor Rotary Clubs and scholarship winners on Saturday.

The Ohlone College Foundation will host its Citizen of the Year Luncheon Saturday, honoring local Rotary Clubs for their service to the community and handing out more than $115,000 in college scholarships.

The six Rotary Clubs of the Tri-Cities will be honored as the 2011 Citizen of the Year. They are Newark Rotary, F.U.N. Sunset Rotary Club (Union City), Fremont Rotary, Fremont Warm Springs Sunrise Rotary, Mission San Jose Rotary and Niles (Fremont) Rotary.

Recipients of Ohlone College scholarships will also be recognized at the luncheon. The Ohlone College Foundation will be distribute more than $115,000 in scholarships.
The Citizen of the Year Award and annual luncheon began in 1987. The foundation raises funds for scholarships and program support to the community college.
