Pet of the Week: Widget

This is Widget, Patch's "pet of the week" for Oct. 8.

She's a grayish cat about 6 years old who is known to be the Alpha cat. Regardless, she is sweet, friendly and ready for adoption at the Tri-City Animal Shelter, 1950 Stevenson Blvd. in Fremont. Her ID number is A103389.

And cat adoptions are free for qualified adopters until the end of Oct. 8.

The shelter's hours are Tuesdays through Fridays from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
