Update: Bonnie Street Re-Open After Police, Fire Officials Investigate
Details of the investigation are not clear but one officer told a resident that "hazardous material" was inside a home

Streets are now re-open after police officers and Alameda County firefighters conducted an investigation on the 36600 block of Bonnie Street.
The nature of the investigation is not known, authorities seemed to focus on a one-story home. A Newark police officer told a resident that some type of "hazardous material" was inside of the one-story house.

Five children appeared to be at the home at the time, but law enforcement officials had taken them away from the scene, and a resident who lives near the home said authorities originally suggested that they evacuate the area.
Officials with the , Alameda County Sheriff's Office and the Alameda County Fire Department all responded to the area.

Newark police officers could not provide details and referred questions about the investigation to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.
A call to the sheriff's office has not been returned as of 9:30 p.m.
