Police Search Yields Property Stolen from Dozens of Homes
The property was found in a home on Saint Paul Drive as part of investigation of nearly 30 residential burglaries in Belmont.
Bay City News Service — Police announced Monday that a search of a Newark home last week netted property believed to have been stolen from dozens of Belmont homes.
On Thursday, officers served a search warrant at a home in the 5700 block of Saint Paul Drive in Newark as part of an ongoing investigation into nearly 30 residential burglaries that have occurred in Belmont since May, according to Belmont police.
Detectives were led to the home after spotting various items on
eBay that appeared to have been taken from the Belmont victims, police said.

Officers seized laptop computers, cell phones, personal electronics, driver's licenses and Social Security cards, police said.
Officers also found three firearms, drugs and cash.

Several suspects were detained and Ernesto Granados, 39, was
arrested for violating parole. He was booked into Santa Rita Jail.
Newark, Fremont and Belmont police departments participated in the
raid.
"The execution of this search warrant is not the end, but another
step in an ongoing and evolving investigation," Belmont Police Chief Don Mattei said in a statement.
Detectives are working to return stolen items to their owners, police said.
