This September marks the 10-year anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attack and Newark Patch wants to hear your stories.

Where were you? What were the emotions you felt throughout that day and every day after?

I remember where I was. I was just a junior at and had just woken up. My parents broke the news to me and I turned around and saw the aftermath of the first plane.

I woke up my brother and we both watched the second crash. It was surreal.

We spent each period watching the events unfold. I watched the towers crumble while in class and I vividly recall the concerned look on my English teacher's face as we watched people in New York scramble to find safety.

But what we want to know are all of your stories, whether you have a connection to New York City, the World Trade Center, the Pentagon or any other aspect of the day's events, or joined the military after Sept. 11.
