Newark Soldier Seeks Donations For His Troop
League of Volunteers are seeking donations they can ship to an Army troop that is currently in Afghanistan.

The League of Volunteers (LOV) is asking for your help to support a Newark native who is currently deployed in Afghanistan.
Jason Anderson, who was once part of LOV’s teen club, has asked the nonprofit organization for supplies that could help his troop.
The supplies he is requesting for include:

- Toothbrushes and toothpaste
- Razors and shaving cream
- Baby wipes
- Magazines
- Books
- Boxer Briefs
- White Socks
- DVD movies
- Snacks
- Gum
- Energy drinks like Redbull
All supplies will be donated to the 4th Platoon, according to LOV Board Member Donna Sisk.
Donations can be dropped off between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the , 36120 Ruschin Dr. or between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. at LOV Bingo nights at the , 35753 Cedar Blvd.
