Structure Catches Fire In Tri-City

The fire was reported at 4:10 p.m. in the 36000 block of Sandalwood Street.

NEWARK, CA -- A structure erupted in flames Saturday afternoon in Newark. The fire was reported at 4:10 p.m. in the 36000 block of Sandalwood Street, according to the Alameda County Fire Department.

Officials briefly closed roads in the area due to the fire incident, but reopened them around 5:30 p.m.
