Summer Cardboard Boat Race Registration Open

Test your boat building and racing skills this summer by taking part in the city's annual .

The event is free and open to everyone ages 7 and older and will be held at the on July 6. All partipants have to do is build a boat using only cardboard and duct tape. Materials are not provided by the city.

Each race will require partipants to travel 25 yards across a pool and will be divided into age categories. At least one rider must be able to travel on the boat.

Those who participate will be admitted into recreation swim for free on the day of the race.

The deadline to register before the event is July 5. Click here to register online or visit the Silliman center at 6800 Mowry Ave. to register in person.
