$30.6M Mansion Sells In Newport Beach, Priciest Home Sale Of 2023

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — A seven-bedroom, ten-bathroom estate in Newport Coast is the priciest Orange County sale of 2023 so far, the Orange County Register reported.

The 13,437-square-foot estate sold Jan. 4 for $30.6 million, the report said — 32 percent or $14.4 million under the original $45 million price tag put forward in July 2021.

The home is located at the end of a long driveway and boasts panoramic views from The Resort at Pelican Hill up the coast and as far north as downtown Los Angeles, the report said.

“I don’t get emotional about homes all the time,” Paul Daftarian of Luxe Real Estate said during a February 2022 walk-through video posted on his partner and co-listing agent Michael Balliet’s YouTube channel. “But this house, the views are so good it makes you emotional.”

The home's amenities include a 13-seat movie theater, a 1,200-bottle wine cellar, a bar, a game room, a mirrored gym and a massage room, according to the report.
