To kick off spring, <a href="https://patch.com/L-m0gf" rel="nofollow">Armstrong Garden Centers </a>in Newport Beach is hosting Ladybug Day on Saturday and giving away free ladybugs. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the store located at <a href="http://www.mapquest.com/?le=t&amp;q=1500%20E%20Coast%20Hwy,%20Newport%20Beach,%20CA%2092660&amp;maptype=map&amp;vs=map&amp;ICID=mqdist_patch_newportbeach" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">1500 E Coast Hwy</a>. Each family will receive one free packet of ladybugs while supplies last. Store officials say ladybugs are the most popular pest control solution for gardens and are capable of consuming about 60 aphids each day.
