Balboa Island buzzed Sunday with thousands of people attending the 20th annual Balboa Island Parade. A popular frozen banana stand added some excitement to the tradition.

The parade, themed Balboa Island - Yesterday & Today, included several marching bands, community members and reenactments of old times. But Netflix's Bluth's Original Frozen Banana Stand, which is widely known on the TV show "Arrested Development," also made an appearance Sunday and drew long lines of over 100 fans all hoping to get a photo.

A two-hour after-party concert, with special guest Dean Torrence of Jan and Dean Fame, was the conclusion to Sunday's festivities.

Throughout the day on Balboa Island Newport Beach motorcycle officers directed traffic at the small intersection of Marine and Park avenues.
