Burglar Steals Several Laptops From Harbor Day School

Along with laptop computers, a burglar stole tablet computers and a hard drive from Harbor Day School in Newport Beach.

An unknown suspect burglarized Harbor Day School over the weekend and made off with several thousands of dollars worth of electronics, police reported.

The school burglary was reported Sunday at 10:45 p.m. at the school located at 3443 Pacific View Drive in Corona del Mar. Kathy Lowe, police spokeswoman, says the burglar stole 19 laptop computers, 30 tablet computers and a hard drive.

Police responded to the school after the alarm company notified police dispatch about the alarm activation.

Lowe said the case remains under investigation. No further information was available.
