Famed LA Burger Joint Opens Doors In Newport Beach

NEWPORT BEACH, CA — A new Los Angeles-based burger joint is has officially made roots in Orange County, after Irv's Burgers celebrated their grand opening in Newport Beach on Thursday.

The roadside restaurant opened its doors nearly 80 years ago in LA, serving a traditional — and expansive — menu of classic burgers, patty melts, chili cheese dogs, BLTs, cheese fries, milkshakes and much more to hungry patrons.

According to Eater LA, the restaurant is one of LA's "most beloved old-school burger slingers" and the new location will serve up the same menu as its counterparts, with a breakfast menu starting in April.

The Newport Beach location joins existing stores in West Hollywood, Malibu, Mid-Wilshire and Las Vegas.

Now, Irv's Burgers will celebrate its Newport Beach location with an official grand opening celebration party on Thursday from 6 p.m. to 10 pm. Guests can enjoy a free combo burger meal, as well as live DJ entertainment, beer, face-painting, balloon artists and even a ferris wheel.
