OC Hair Styling Students Host Fashion Show

Students from Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy debuted their creativity and talent on the runway at a fashion show in Costa Mesa over the weekend.

The annual fashion show, held Sunday at the Westin Costa Mesa, was produced by nearly 140 academy students, many who are from the Newport Beach area. The "Decades" Fashion Show included seven presentations, each inspired by a different decade. Students were tasked with scouting and styling models, as well as doing the hair and makeup applications.

Academy officials said the annual show is a way to "present the students' talent and present them as up and coming professionals in the field." Students who are just starting out, and others who graduated days before the show, were part of the event.
