Newport Beach police are urging motorists to avoid a stretch of Jamboree Road following a car accident on Monday evening, according to a police department news alert. The car crash was reported at 5:22 p.m. on Jamboree Road and Island Lagoon Drive, according to the NBPD call log. A Nixle alert sent out via text message and email urged motorists to avoid Jamboree Road from Pacific Coast Highway to San Joaquin Hills Road until early Tuesday morning. No other information was immediately available.
