New Eatery Serves Up Savory Calzones In Costa Mesa: Report
Mezzo Calzones opened earlier this month in Costa Mesa and is one of the few Italian eateries in the area that focuses entirely on calzones.
COSTA MESA, CA — A new calzone shop has come to town, after Mezzo Calzones opened its doors early February in Costa Mesa, the Orange County Register reported.
The new Italian eatery is one a few of its kind boasting a menu focused solely on calzones.
The menu offers eight different calzone fillings, various dipping sauce options, salad, wings and the option to get a side of meatballs, pasta and more.

"I love going to this Italian spot that had calzones, but I was always wishing for more flavors," co-founder Natalie Burke told the OC Register. Burke and her husband, John Sanchez, are co-owners of the restaurant, as well as Justin Change, Aaron Cortez and Sharif Juma of the Kelektiv Group.
