Newport Beach Family-Owned Olive Oil Company Strikes Liquid Gold

A Newport Beach family who owns the Paso-Robles Pasolivo olive oil company won 5 awards for their esteemed buttery olive oils.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA - A Newport Beach-owned olive oil company took home five awards at the World Olive Oil Competition - the world's largest competition for olive oil producers.

Pasolivo, based in Paso Robles, has been owned by the Dirk family of Newport Beach and Irvine since 2012. They have built a reputation of producing some of the highest quality tree-to-talble olive oils on the market.

"Over the decade of the Dirk family's ownership, Pasolivo has accumulated over 120 awards 21 of which were earned in 2022.

Pasolivo's accumulated awards at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition included five extra virgin olive oils entered for the event. Based in the heart of California’s wine country, Pasolivo’s 45-acre orchard features 12 varietals of olive trees that consistently produce award-winning extra virgin and flavored olive oils year after year. They bottle in small batches creating blends that celebrate the distinct flavors of the olive and also sell sauces, spices to pair with their products.

Marisa Bloch Gaytan, Level 2 Olive Oil Sommelier and Pasolivo’s Master Blender discussed the honor for the olive oil producer.
