Newport Harbor Scores a Victory Over El Toro

In a match between two CIF powerhouses, second ranked Newport Harbor scored with 15.35 seconds on the clock to lift the Sailors to a 10-9 victory over No. 4 El Toro.  Senior Farrel South (2 steals) led the team with 4 goals, while Juniors Dan Stevens (1 assist, 1 steal & 1 field block) and Preston Lee (2 assists) added 2 goals apiece.  Juniors Andrew Silvers and Curtis Fink rounded out the scoring with 1 goal each. Senior goalie Koby Yokota had 11 saves for the Sailors. Next up for Newport Harbor, Sunset League rival Huntington Beach on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 6:05 p.m. at Newport Harbor High School.
