Update: Lost Boys Found Safe
Two boys who were lost for a short amount of time in Newport Beach Tuesday evening, were found safe, a police dispatcher reported.
Two boys who were lost in Newport Beach Tuesday evening were found following a short search by a police helicopter, a dispatcher reported.
The boys were found about 7 p.m. and got lost when they walked to a "wrong restaurant," according to a police dispatcher. At about 6:30 p.m., residents started to hear information being sent over an intercom coming from a helicopter flying over Bayside Village, the Back Bay, near Jamboree Road and near Balboa Island.
According to witnesses, the broadcast message said one of the boys was wearing red shorts, and the other one was wearing a black sweatshirt. One of the boys was also carrying a skateboard.

A watch commander at the Newport Beach Police Department said he had no information about two lost boys.
No other information was immediately available.
