OC Museum Of Art Kicks Off Opening With 24-Hour Celebration
Residents who want to be a part of the Orange County Museum of Art's grand opening celebration will enjoy music, food, films, yoga and more.
COSTA MESA, CA — Orange County residents have the chance to get a first look at a new cultural landmark for modern and contemporary art on Oct. 8, as the Orange County Museum of Art prepares for its grand opening at its new Costa Mesa location.
The museum will celebrate the launch with a 24-hour celebration on Oct. 8, museum officials said.
The Orange County Museum of Art's 24-hour party will feature live performances, film screenings, art-making workshops and more.

The public will also be welcomed to tour the new museum and explore its inaugural exhibitions, including the "California Biennial 2022: Pacific Gold," a Fred Eversley survey, a project on landscape architect Peter Walker, a newly-commissioned outdoor sculpture by Sanford Biggers and an exhibition curated from the museum's permanent collection to honor the 13 women who founded the museum 60 years ago.
In addition to a 24-hour kick-off party, the Orange County Museum of Art will offer free general admission for the next ten years, generously provided by Lugano Diamonds.

The 24-hour party starts at 5 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Orange County Museum of Art in Costa Mesa, 3333 Avenue of the Arts. There is no cost to attend, but ride-share such as Uber or Lyft is recommended due to limited parking.
