Sprinkles Cupcakes to Aid Oklahoma Tornado Victims
Sprinkles Cupcakes is whipping up Red Cross Red Velvet cupcakes at its Newport Beach location. All proceeds will be donated to the victims of the Oklahoma tornado.

In an effort to help the victims of Monday's deadly Oklahoma tornado, Sprinkles Cupcakes in Newport Beach will be selling Red Cross Red Velvet cupcakes on Wednesday.
Sprinkles Cupcakes will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from the red velvet cupcakes to the Red Cross' Oklahoma chapters to help with tornado relief efforts, company officials said. The Red Cross Red Velvet Cupcake was created by founder Candace Nelson as "homage" to her husband, Charles, and his Oklahoma roots.
“As a native Oklahoman with my parents and brother still living in Oklahoma City, I am especially heartbroken by this devastating tragedy," Sprinkles' co-founder Charles Nelson said in a released statement. "Over the years, we have supported aid efforts in Haiti, Japan and New York after natural disasters. I am happy that we are able to do the same to support the people of Oklahoma."
The Red Cross Red Velvet Cupcakes will be sold on Wednesday at the 12 Sprinkles Cupcakes locations across the country.
Sprinkles Cupcake is located at 944 Avocado Ave. in Newport Beach.
