Alleged Burglar Caught Returning to Scene of Crime

Police lay in wait when they see the suspect come back for his bicycle.

A man suspected of burglarizing several homes in North Hollywood was caught red-handed by police Monday morning when he came back to the scene of the crime to retrieve his getaway ride, according to CBS2.

Los Angeles Police Department officers got a call around 3 a.m. from a resident living near Oxnard Street and Lankershim Boulevard who said the suspect allegedly stole some his cognac and made off on foot, leaving a bicycle behind, the channel reports.

Police were at the scene and arrested the suspected burglar when he returned to break into another home and to get his bike back.
