A new business has opened in the NoHo Arts District where women can get their hair did and men and get a quick trim or shave.
The Local, located at 5229 Lankershim Blvd., is a salon for women on the bottom floor and a barbershop for men on the second floor.
"We're an all organic color concept salon. We have all organic hair color products. We do cuts, we do organic straightening and organic perms," said Rosie Fiore, who owns the business with her husband, Tony Fiore.
The business relies on mostly organic ingredients, Fiore said.
She says she and her husband wanted to blend a hair business for both genders in the NoHo Arts District because of the local crowd.
"We love this area, everything around here is on a smaller scale, it's a more ma and pa kind of thing, we just want to be a part of the community," Fiore said.
The Local is located at 5229 Lankershim Blvd. in the NoHo Arts District.
