UPDATE--3:26 p.m. LAPD's bomb squad declared the area safe after determning the bottle posed no danger, said Sgt. Alex Morrison.
"It just looked weird in the alley," she said.

A bomb squad is inspecting a liquid-filled bottle left with a note in a dead-end alley near the 12600 block of Tiara St. in Valley Glen, according to the LAPD.
The tip was reported at 9:37 a.m., said Sgt. Harry Rosenfeld.
No evacuations have been ordered, but the scene is still being investigated, he said.
