A bomb squad Wednesday was sent to a North Hollywood home to check out reports of a woman finding grenades in her garage, but they turned out not to pose any threat.
A woman living in the 5600 block of Auckland Avenue phoned in the find around 11:30 a.m.
"[They] belonged to her husband, but she didn't know if they were real or a prop and they were indeed props," said Officer Forsberg of LAPD's North Hollywood division.
The bomb squad left the scene shortly after determining that the scene was clear, Forsberg said.
