Councilmember Nithya Raman Hires Three New People To Office
The councilwoman recently hired three people who will serve as planning director, legislative director and policy advisor.
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — Councilwoman Nithya Raman Friday announced more new hires to her office, who will serve as Planning Director, Legislative Director, and Policy Advisor in Economic Development.
Mashael Majid will oversee planning projects across Council District 4 and help guide long-term planning goals in City Council. Josh Nuni will lead development of legislative agenda, working to create equitable, efficient and sustainable policies to combat L.A's housing, racial justice and climate crises.
Gregory Randolph will work to provide resources and solutions for small businesses in the community, helping them recover from the pandemic however possible.

“Mashael, Josh, and Gregory have each demonstrated innovation, skill, and capability in their respective areas of expertise,” Councilmember Nithya Raman said. “I am excited to work closely with each of them in shaping our office’s proactive agenda with the kind of dedication, imagination, and compassion we strive for in all our work.”
Majid comes from Los Angeles City Planning, where she co-managed the Van Nuys-North Sherman Oaks Community Plan Update. A graduate of UCLA, she also helped launch the department's new Office of Racial Justice, Equity and Restorative Planning.

Nuni previously served as Legal & Police Deputy for Jackie Goldberg, a LAUSD School Board Member. A graduate of Harvard University and Yale Law School, he is also a civil rights lawyer who has represented families fighting for their rights.
Randolph is a researcher, writer and policy specialist who focuses on labor, economic development and urbanization. He is also a founding partner of Just Jobs Network, a global non-profit research institute that advises governments on labor market policies.
