She lost her job and her home, but 50-year-old Martha Aguel still had a strong hold on her compassion for living things.
Homeless for the past year after losing her job with the county, the Los Angeles Times reports how she spotted a stray dog named Snoopy and reuinted it with its owner, Jay Hofstadter of North Hollywood.
A grateful Hofstadter tried to reward Aguel, who has two dogs of her own, but she declined the offer.
Now, L.A. County officials are working to get her off the street.
