ICE Arrests 150 People In Raids Across LA

ICE officials said in a statement that "the lack of cooperation from local jails is negatively impacting public safety."

LOS ANGELES, CA — Federal agents have arrested about 150 people in the Los Angeles area in an operation that targeted "criminal aliens" and other immigration violators, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced Wednesday.

In announcing the arrests, ICE officials said in a statement that "the lack of cooperation from local jails is negatively impacting public safety."

Details of the operation were expected to be released Wednesday afternoon.
