NoHo Home Alliance To Host Public Comment Training Thursday

The meeting will teach residents how to effectively speak up in defense of unhoused residents at city council meetings.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — The North Hollywood Home Alliance will host an online training session Thursday at 7 p.m. to help residents give impactful public comments at city council meetings. The training session will teach residents how to speak up in defense of unhoused residents.

Executive Director Stephanie Jaeger will lead the meeting.

"Prepare to speak up effectively at City Council meetings against efforts to criminalize unhoused persons sitting, lying or sleeping on sidewalks and other public areas," the Alliance said. "With guest speakers, and opportunity to practice making public comments!"

The NoHo Home Alliance hosts bi-weekly drop-in events, where homeless residents can receive food, medical care, showers, and more. Located at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, the Alliance also operates as a secure address where unhoused people can send and receive mail.
