North Hollywood Man Pleads Not Guilty to Playing Role in Death of Wheelchair-Bound Man
Christian Salvador Olvera remains in custody, accused of being an accessory after the fact.

A felony county of being an accessory after the fact was filed against a North Hollywood man in connection with death of a man who was struck while crossing the street in his wheelchair last month.
Also, a felony hit-and-run charge was filed today against a Pacoima woman accused of being the driver.
Tatiana Cacho, 24, pleaded not guilty in connection with the death of Manuel Dejesus Segovia Gonzalez, who was hit Sept. 26 and dragged about 100 feet while crossing Terra Bella Street just east of Cayuga Avenue in the Pacoima area.

Paramedics took Gonzalez to a hospital, where the 40-year-old victim was pronounced dead.
Cacho, who allegedly left the scene of the crash, was arrested Monday along with Christian Salvador Olvera, 23, of North Hollywood, who pleaded not guilty to one felony count of being an accessory after the fact.

“Leads from the community were instrumental in locating the suspects,” according to a police statement. “The media coverage was viewed by anonymous witnesses who reported the leads, culminating in the ... arrests.”
Cacho and Olvera remain jailed and are due back in a San Fernando courtroom Oct. 23 for the scheduling of a preliminary hearing date.
If convicted as charged, she faces up to four years in state prison and he faces up to three years behind bars, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
