
An investigation was underway Saturday into an officer-involved shooting that occurred after police attempted to stop two men in Lake View Terrace and one of them allegedly pulled a gun.
The shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. Friday near Prager Avenue and Jouett Street, Capt. Sean Malinowski of the Los Angeles Police Department's Foothill Station told a news photographer at the scene.
One of two suspects that patrol officers attempted to stop pulled a handgun and aimed it at the officers, resulting in the shooting, according to Malinowski.
A second suspect was arrested soon after the shooting, following a brief search, Malinowski said.The condition of the wounded suspect was unclear. No officers were injured.
A gun was recovered at the scene, police said.
