Toluca Lake's Klump House Gets Flipped
The five-bedroom, two-bathroom house sold for $1.8 million at the beginning of 2013 and the current owner is asking for more than double that.
The .45-acre estate originally built by a pioneer of the Toluca Lake community in the 1920s is looking to change hands after it was bought in January for $1.8 million, according to Curbed LA.
After making some remodeling tweaks, the current owner is looking to flip the property for more than double what it was bought for: a whopping $3.875 million.
Gone are the peacock bathroom tiles in exchange for grey brick tiles and marble countertops, Curbed LA reports. Also added were a 1,000-bottle wine cellar and a saltwater pool in the back.
William Klump built the estate atop a knoll at 4352 Forman Ave. in 1926. The 19,000-square-foot property has five bedrooms, two bathrooms, three Batchelder fireplaces and a guest house.
