What's Up: Jazz at Bob's Espresso, Horror Film Fest and More

1: Jazz group the Silver Lake Trio will play their free weekly show starting at 8 p.m. at Bob's Espresso Bar. 5251 Lankershim Blvd.

2: NoHo resident and pianist Randy Emata will be performing in the back lounge of the Federal Bar. He specializes in playing the smoother groovier side of jazz/R&B/pop along with Michael Reason on drums and William Matthew Taylor on bass. Show is free and starts at 8 p.m. 5303 Lankershim Blvd.

3: It's another night of scares at Laemmle NoHo 7 for the annual ScreamfestClick here for showtimes.

4: The annual Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios has begun (http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/hollywood/2013/), but if you’re looking for something a little more tame for the kids, the Toluca Lake Pumpkin Festival is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily through Oct. 31, complete with a pumpkin Patch and petting zoo at 10601 Riverside Drive, Toluca Lake
