- Two people were hit by a car and killed on Thanksgiving evening on Oceanside Boulevard. Investigators believe the pedestrians – a man and a woman in their 40s – were crossing the boulevard around 8:30 p.m. when they were struck. The woman who hit the pair stopped and officials say the incident appears to be accidental. (NBC San Diego)
- An Oceanside man has been scammed out of almost $475,000 he sent to a Grand Island woman over a period of time. Constance Reimers allegedly told the man she was entitled to a "gold fortune" and asked him to help pay 40 years worth of storage fees and financial assistance related to COVID-19. Reimers established a relationship with the man over Zoosk, a dating site, which became romantic. The 65-year-old woman is facing elder financial exploitation charges. (Longview News-Journal)
- The San Diego County Government has made the public aware that a confirmed case of tuberculosis has been reported. Those present during the Fall 2022 semester at California State University San Marcos from Aug. 30 to Nov. 8 may have been exposed.
