3 Teens Injured When Pickup Crashes In Oceanside

All the vehicle's occupants were 17 years old and sustained injuries, according to the Oceanside Police Department.

OCEANSIDE, CA — Two teenage girls and a teenage boy were injured Tuesday when a Toyota Tundra pickup they were in crashed in the yard of a home, authorities said.

The Tundra was traveling at an estimated 65 mph south on Pacific Street just before 2 a.m. Tuesday and failed to negotiate a left turn at Eaton Street, crashing onto private property, the Oceanside Police Department said.

All the vehicle's occupants were 17 years old and sustained injuries, the statement said. One occupant was taken to a trauma center and the other two were taken to a hospital to be evaluated.

The driver was evaluated for driving under the influence and was driving without a license, police said. If investigators conclude the driver was under the influence, the case will be forwarded to the San Diego County District Attorney's Office for review, police added.
